The City of Lake Forest faces many exciting opportunities and many daunting challenges in the years ahead. To enhance community input and involvement, the City has designed the Lake Forest Citizens' Leadership Academy to prepare you to take part in shaping our community and keeping our city strong.

Since spring of 2003, the Citizens' Leadership Academy has developed community leaders, one of which is now an elected member of our City Council, while other "graduates" serve on the Planning Commission and Park & Recreation Commission. The Academy is an 8-week course which provides participants with a general overview of City operations and departments. Applicants from all segments of the community are encouraged to participate. The ideal Leadership Academy will include individuals with varied educational and cultural backgrounds, who live in various sections of the community.
