BandShe opening for The Spazmatics - 80's Tribute Band

BandShe seamlessly transitions between songs and continuously wows its audience with a unique play list of Top 40 hits from the disco era through today, taking the concept of a cover band to a whole new level. The amazing chemistry of knock-out lead singers brings to life the harmonies you're used to hearing in your favorite songs. The Spazmatics are way past their time and not ashamed to admit it! Their mission is to take you on a journey back to a time when synthesizers, drum machines, and infectious beats had preppies and yuppies moving to the new wave groove of the era. Singing hits by Duran Duran, the Go-Gos, Billy Idol and your other 80's favorites.

Doo Wah Riders
opening for Hotel California

For over 20 years the Doo-Wah Riders have been riding their own path of the musical range throughout the west. They define their sound as "high energy country with a Cajun twist." Their tight musicianship and powerful arrangements of classic, contemporary, and original songs have made them favorites everywhere they go, including appearances in concert with Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Tim McGraw. Hotel California performs with the magic and mystique of the truly timeless music of the Eagles. Join them on a trip down a dark desert highway, feel the cool wind in your hair, and experience the Grammy award winning songs - "Hotel California," "Life in the Fast Lane," "Take It Easy," and "Witchy Woman."

The Platters and The Coasters

Two legendary bands from the 50's have joined to perform for the first time in Lake Forest! With over thirty years of hits, more than twenty Top Ten records, and five Platinum albums, The Platters and The Coasters are two of the most sought after performing groups in the country. They carry the tradition of their legendary music and will perform nostalgic songs, including "Only You," "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," "Yakety Yak," "Charlie Brown," and "Poison Ivy."

Family Campout at Pittsford Park

Don't miss Camp Pittsford this year! Pack up your tent and your family and campout in our backyard-it's an evening of pizza, campfire songs, games and activities, and a scrumptious early morning breakfast at the park. Children must be 4 or older and must be accompanied by a parent. Check in at 5:30 p.m. to set up your tent before dinner! Participants must provide their own tents and sleeping bags, as well as personal items.

Fee: $5 per person

Family Swim at ETHS High School Pool

Get a taste of the islands Friday nights at the pool. Swimming, snacks, and live entertainment from islands around the world, including Hawaiian, Reggae, and soothing sounds of Taiko, make Family Swim the perfect way to unwind for the weekend.

Fee: $1 per person

Movies in the Park

A Lake Forest summer tradition continues with the "Movies in the Park" series! Seating is on the grass, so bring along your beach chairs, blankets and enjoy free "G" or "PG" rated movie under the stars. On June 24, families can enjoy a whale of tale with Disney's "Shark Tales." Voices are by Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Renee Zellweger and Jack Black. In August, the featured movie will be Pixar's, "The Incredibles," with voices by Craig Nelson, Holly Hunter and Samuel L. Jackson. All movies start at sunset with the A.I.M activities in motion staff on hand before the movies to provide children with fun games and arts and crafts projects.

Fee: Free. Snacks will be available for a nominal fee

Fourth of July Parade

Attention one and all! It's time to celebrate our country's independence … Lake Forest style. The community is proud to present its Annual Fourth of July Parade in 2006, and is looking for creative, enthusiastic and patriotic participants to enter the fun! So get involved in your community and join the celebration! This year's theme is "America on Wheels." Please visit the City's website for more information and download a parade entry online. Entry forms can also be obtained at the Lake Forest Community Center.
