As an entitlement city and as part of the Federal
HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the City
of Lake Forest received $387,000 for the program year July 1,
1996 through June 30, 1997.
Each year the City prepares an Annual Performance Report (APR) that provides a status of the Federal Grant regarding funds expended, identifies activities undertaken, and actions indicated in the City's Consolidated five-year strategy plan. The APR also identifies accomplishments and program performance concerning the number and types of families assisted, the number of low and moderate income persons assisted, and the ethnicity of such persons.
All activities undertaken by the City are consistent
with HUD national program objectives to provide increased housing
opportunities, fair housing opportunities, public services, and
community development activities benefiting low and moderate income
persons.
All persons interested in reviewing the APR may inspect
copies at Lake Forest City Hall located at 23161 Lake Center Drive,
Suite 100 from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday
and on Friday, September 12, 1997 until 5:00 pm, and also at the
El Toro Public Library during their regular business hours. The
APR will be available for review until September 16, 1997. Comments
or requests for additional information should be directed to Elaine
Nagano, CDBG Program, (714) 461-3471, by September 16, 1997.
